# Is there any plan for Microsoft to have offline version of Sharepoint?

Is there any plan from Microsoft to have an offline version of Sharepoint to access offline files from the local machine? For example, we can access offline and synchronized any files, and when we are online, all the files will be updated accordingly in Sharepoint, like Microsoft Onedrive. Can we do the same thing to Microsoft Sharepoint?

There still is SharePoint on prem, but i think there no more updates or patches for the On-Prem version

Hello,

One Drive is one way to use the Sharepoint offline, as well as you can synchronization your sharepoint libraries to your desktop, laptop to make them available offline as well. You simply need to open the documents library on the sharepoint site and click on Sync. it will connect using the onedrive client software installed on your computer to synchronize the documents library to your desktop laptop.
