# Is there a way to block a website from an individual user and not the whole class.

I agree with Katie's answer. Start segmented blocking, where you have two different blocking plans, and put that one student in the more restrictive plan with that one extra site blocked. I often do this type of thing when the class is taking a test (a strict blocking plan), but I have one or two students not able to take the test at that time due to a recent absence. I put those few students on a less restrictive blocking plan to do some make-up work for me while the rest of the class is testing. Segmented blocking is fabulous!

Hi Sandra. Yes, there is a way to block a single student from sites. However, it is more time-consuming to go through that process. With that said, if you have about 90 seconds to start running DyKnow, enforce your blocking plan, switch a student to a different plan, and then enforce the second plan, it's worthwhile.
