# Is there a way to assign tasks to 2 or more people with the free version?

This is the thing that bugs me the most about the app. Is this feature only available to paying users? Because if it is, I might splurge a little and get it.

You can only assign a task to one user. Possible alternate solutions are:

1) Add additional users as a follower on a task. This provides access to the task for all added users and alerts for changes & updates.

2) Add sub tasks that are each assigned to a user. This is my preferred method. Each user can see the main task and how it is broken up into tasks for each person. This encourages direct task assignment and accountability.
Note: I have in the past created two sub tasks that are exactly the same and assigned to two different users.

I don't mind this feature of asana because it makes me, as a manager, think through a project and ensure clarity for team members.
