# Is there a way send a QR code via text from QR.io

Would love to be able to text someone a QR code directly from QR.io vs downloading a pNG or SVG file

QR does not handle options to share the codes, you can only download them in PNG or SVG

a QR code is just a graphic so yes you can send via SMS. But if you're intending for the recipient to use the code and you're sending to his phone, that won't work. Better to send a shortened link.

Hi, you could use Pabbly Connect (https://www.tak3.me/PabblyLTD) to create a quick landing page, populate it with the QR Image and then send the shortlink via SMS
