Yes, PeopleSoft is accounting software, however, it is much more than just that. It is an ERP suite of modules that can automate a company's entire back office, including accounting, finance, supply chain, human resources, payroll, benefits, etc.  Oracle acquired PeopleSoft in 2005 and in April of 2023 again reaffirmed their commitment to support and continue enhancing PeopleSoft through at least 2034.
