# Is Paycom a HCM, a HRIS or a payroll provider?

Although Paycom technically is an HCM provider, all three descriptions apply. Here’s why:

Payroll processing services typically are a part of any HRIS (human resource information system). These systems automate administrative HR processes like payroll, benefits enrollment and compliance. Human capital management (HCM) systems combine an HRIS with additional functionality to help HR teams achieve high-level goals, like recruiting top talent and improving employee retention. Because Paycom offers tools for complete human capital management, we are a payroll, HRIS and HCM provider.
