No, not at all! Firefox is developed by the Mozilla Foundation, an independent organization. Google owns Chrome, but Firefox remains autonomous and is set up to defend privacy and an open internet.

No, firefox is not owned by Google. Firefox is made by Mozilla Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of the not-for-profit Mozilla Foundation, and is guided by the principles of the Mozilla Manifesto.
