# Is Goolara Symphonie on-premise or hosted?

I hear the terms hosted, self-hosted, and on-premise a lot. What do they mean?

Symphonie is available in either deployment. With a hosted account, Goolara takes care of the maintenance of the software, provides the updates, and ensures the best possible deliverability. The On-Premise version is popular with companies that want to keep their data behind their firewall or make sure their data is compliant with their own regional laws. Self-hosted refers to an on-premise solution that is installed in the cloud, such as on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
