# Is backend automation officially supported?

Is backend automation officially supported? e.g. java api calls, REST calls, different scripting languages. If yes, then since when and to what extend? what is official and what is developed by the community for this type of integration?

Yes, Backend automation is supported by UiPath, UiPath categories automation type to Attended(frontend automation) and Unattended(backend automation) . You need to setup a workstation or VM environment and install all necessary applications, grant necessary access for your using ID. In new UiPath version, it supports to multi-tasks for unattended Robot, what an exciting on thinking about this, haha.
