# Is anyone else struggling with AI tagging and advanced workflows adding chaos instead of clarity?

One of the things that drew me to M-Files was the promise of smart features like AI tagging and more advanced workflows. In practice, I have found these to be the areas where I spend the most time firefighting.
When we tried the AI assistant for tagging, it started assigning the wrong metadata to the wrong files, which quickly caused confusion in searches and views. Instead of saving time, I had to backtrack and clean up, and eventually turned it off to avoid making things worse.
Similarly, setting up more sophisticated workflows has felt like something I cannot do alone. I either need dedicated IT help or outside support, which slows down improvements and makes me think twice before suggesting new automated steps, even when I know they would help the team.
For those of you who have gone deeper into AI and complex workflows, how are you using these tools without creating new messes to clean up later, and how do you decide which parts are safe to roll out to everyday users?
