# In what industries is IBM Notes mostly used?

I want to know where is the industry where IBM Notes is mostly used.

In my experience IBM Notes is used mainly as a client for IBM Domino, which is an email server integrated into a rich platform for application development.
As an enterprise email platform it is used across all industries, form finance to retail, from consulting to automotive industries, from utilities to oil and gas industries and so on.
The same is valid for app development: document management systems, intranet applications for HR , document workflow with role based approval cycles to name a few... these are all cross industries needs that have successfully been solved using IBM Notes and Domino.
