# If someone in your organization has a common name, how can you eliminate alerts on others with the same name?

One of my staff is named Jimmy Stewart and I get alerts on every media reference to the actor.

You can create an advanced term on your watchlist page to eliminate irrelevant clips. There are two ways to do this. You can use the basic Add Watch Term button on your Watchlist page and then there will be a button underneath the white box that comes up called "Add Advanced Watch Term". Two boxes will then come up. You can put the name Jimmy Stewart into the first box and then change the drop down to NOT. The second box will have a phrase from irrelevant clips for example the word actor to go in that box, or something in the irrelevant text- a small phrase. You can also create an even more advanced term with the button Add Advanced Term to create more NOTs. You can name it anything you want in the Alias box and then use + and - signs to use irrelevant words as the - signs. For example, +"Jimmy Stewart" -actor. You can create another line by clicking OR and making another scenario. If it's more than one word each phrase needs to have quotes around it.
Below are two brief videos on the kinds of advanced watch terms you can set up. You can also reach out to Customer Success at customersuccess@tveyes.com to schedule a training session!
