# I use time recommendation to ask mailchimp what’s the best time to send out campaign. Say mailchimp recommended 1pm; am I supposed to schedule a TIMEWARP campaign at 1pm to have best results?

Yep! Timewarp is the best way to send out emails based on your contacts' local time zones.

Hi Antonio! Great question. Send Time Optimization and Timewarp are two separate and distinct features for email delivery that work in different ways, so I don't think combining them would yield significantly better results. Send Time Optimization suggests the optimal time to send to your subscribers based on engagement data Mailchimp already has on their user base. For example, if it suggests sending an email at 1 p.m., it's not necessarily saying that *everyone* on your list will engage with the email at 1 p.m. in their specific time zone (unless all your subscribers are already in the same time zone). 1 p.m. is just the optimal time to send the email based on whatever data Mailchimp has collected on your subscribers. Timewarp allows you to schedule email campaigns based on each individual user's time zone, which can be useful if many of your subscribers are in vastly different time zones. It would be an interesting experiment to see what happens if an email is sent with Timewarp using the optimized send time, but I don't believe it would be a one-size-fits-all strategy. I'd suggest setting up some A/B tests using different delivery methods to find out which methods (or combination of methods) will yield the best open and click rates. Hope this helps!
