# I have a hesitation to submit references requests on Friday due to weekend approaching

How does XREF approach referee contacts with weekends approaching? To my understanding the referees are only reminded a handful of times to complete the form online via email or text message

We encourage hiring managers to send reference requests during working days, however, many organizations have seen references returned over the weekend after submitting their request on a Friday. 

Emails are sent at 24, 36, 48 hours after a request has been submitted, to remind the reference to access the questionnaire and provide their feedback.
