# How to stop automatic updates

Well, I would recommend like this. 
1. windows update is really useful for your computer such as bug fix, update new features, driver etc. 
2. the purpose you buy windows license because you want to get update from microsoft. 
3. if you experience the computer slow during update, you should change your computer hdd to ssd to make the performance better. 
4. I still recommend for windows update, never turn it off.

Go to "Computer Configuration" > "Administrative Templates" > "Windows Components" > "Windows Update". Double-click "Configure Automatic Updates". Select "Disabled" in Configured Automatic Updates on the left, and click Apply and "OK" to disable the Windows automatic update feature.
