# How to repair the central file?

Sometime while syncing the local file to the central file it shows error,susch repair central model.

- Open with options → Disable all worksets before opening. This prevents Revit from trying to load potentially corrupted worksets immediately.
- Enable Audit → Always check the Audit option when opening, so Revit can attempt to repair database-level issues.
- Open the file → Once it opens, carefully test by enabling worksets one at a time to identify if a specific workset is causing the corruption.
- Save a new Central file → After recovery, it’s best practice to create a new Central file to avoid lingering corruption.

If central file is corrupt then there is no option to reuse file. You have to take local copy of central file and then convert those local file into central file.

Also, one more try that open central file using Audit option. There is less chance but sometimes it will works.
