# how to make background transparent in canva

Need to have a transparent background for a project I'm working on! Thanks!

Hello! You can download your image in PNG format. That way it will have a transparent background. But this only works if you have Canva Pro.

When you go to download the image, choose PNG and there will be an option for transparent background.

You can only have a transparent background in canva pro but the work on canva ends and you can remove the background in PowerPoint
