# How to implement some complex excel  processes  ?

Hii

I'm trying to automate the complex excel process using the automation anywhere which includes several stages like VLookup, Hlookup I can't able to do that can you tell in which release of the software you are going to implement these features.?

There are many ways to automate these operations because AA doesnt have any direct commands for these. Carry out the operation manually and implement the exact steps.The correct range of cells should be selected first. Then the Formula bar has to be captured by object cloning and VLoopkups is typed into it using Set Text or Keystrokes. To apply the formula correct keystrokes should be used (eg- CTRL + D, CTRL + SHIFT + DOWN). Give proper delays(100-500 ms) between keystrokes. After applying the VLookup give a larger delay(10-30 sec) depending on volume of data because excel takes some time for it. If the Vlookup has reference to other excel files, make sure they are open before this operation and are in editing enabled mode otherwise it gives #N/A values.
