# How to extract Captcha code from Captcha image?

We are trying to extract data from the captcha image. The actual process is to log in to a website and downloads data from it. The first bot has to login to the website using user name and password after that bot has to extract the code from the Captcha image which is generated by the website.

We have used many OCR engines to extract data from Captcha image but we are not able to extract the data accurately. We used Abbyy, Tesareact and Microsoft Modi to extract data from Captcha image.

Captchas are used unauthorised bot activities, so using process automation on captcha enabled same as unethical hacking. If you are doing real automation then authorised bot should get special access to avoid the overhead.

In the automation ideal business processes, a single-sign-on account is set for the bot to access the web application in production environment, thus eliminating the requirement to read Captcha. Otherwise, it is advised to exclude the captcha protected applications from standard automation. Designing a bot to read captcha, defeats the purpose of setting up captcha protection in the first place!  :)

This can be done by using OCR (Optical character recognition) tools like 'Tesseract'

There are several Captcha breaking API's which are available which could do the job - https://anti-captcha.com/mainpage or https://www.deathbycaptcha.com/user/login
