# how to embed a video in powerpoint

Click on the slide that you want to embed the video in. From the tool bar click insert and move to the far right to media and then click video then select on my pc. It will open the file browser and you can navigate to the video and select it (always easier if you have it on your desktop) and click. Then in the top tool bar you will have some "playback" options. Do want it to start when that slide comes up or do want the slide to come up and then click to start. Will it play across several slides or just the one. It's pretty simple and straightforward. One more thing, if you are going to save your powerpoint and move it to another computer, you need to be sure and save the video also and put it on the other computer or run it from what you saved it on. You've got this.

Save the video to your desktop. Open up your PowerPoint presentation. Right click copy on your video (now on your desktop) and back within your presentation right click and select paste.
