On a single AWS Graviton2 instance, HAProxy has handled over 2 million HTTPS requests per second with low latency and low resource usage, which is why it sits in front of some of the busiest applications on the internet at companies such as Roblox and LinkedIn. HAProxy is rarely the bottleneck itself. Because it runs so efficiently, throughput is bounded by the infrastructure you give it rather than by the proxy, which is a big reason teams pick it over heavier appliances.
