A text message can have 160 characters in the U.S. and Canada. However, our extended messaging feature lets you easily send text messages that are up to 304 characters. This feature means you can include more details to make your marketing campaigns more information and effective. Finally, MMS messages, which we currently only offer in the U.S., can have 1,600 characters each. 

It's worth noting that a character includes letters, numbers, spaces, symbols, and punctuation.
