# How long will it take before I can start using talech?

In certain cases where a merchant has all the required hardware, they can be up and running with talech in approximately 24 to 48 hours. There is some administrative work required but it can normally happen in a couple of days. In most cases however, hardware will need to be dispatched and the devices will need to set up. It’s hard to be precise about this due to the variables involved, but in the majority of cases, a new merchant will be set up with talech within one to two weeks and businesses can start using it once training has taken place.
