I have found Snagit and other Techsmith products to "enhance my operational efficiency" by providing a platform to capture screen shots on the fly, then to be able to edit them in the same app and save or export for project use. The interface is intuitive, its quick to apply effects, the Snagit app is always open and simply runs in the background. 

I use Sangit to create images and capture screen shots, then use the images in Camtasia or other eLearning video editing app.

I use the screen capture most often to show technical information, licensing status and troubleshooting steps for my administrative and engineering team and our customer base.
