Salesforce is the market leader in CRM systems. Salesforce's main innovation was bringing CRM to the cloud. Over the years, it has grown to become a large, generic platform, very much focused on data. For sales-specific features, you will need to buy add-ons from their AppExchange. Like most all traditional CRM systems, it was designed on the assumption that salespeople know how to sell and should just log what they've done.

Membrain is B2B-specific and focuses on HOW to sell using visual, actionable, and informative workflows, embedding training, and coaching. Most of the tools needed by professional B2B salespeople and their leaders are available in the native platform, reducing the need for costly customizations and add-ons.
