# How have you handled setup, data import/export, and access management in Adobe Marketo Engage?

I like Adobe Marketo Engage for its workflow capability, high level of customization, and the breadth of partner applications. It has helped somewhat with automating and scaling cross-channel campaigns, with a small lift in lead readiness and campaign relevance. But setup has been a pain point, and I’m also not satisfied with data import/export tools, user/role/access management, and overall performance and reliability. What have you done to make these areas smoother in your day-to-day use?

I handle Marketo setup by configuring SPF, DKIM, CNAMEs, Munchkin tracking, and native CRM integrations. I manage data via sanitized CSV imports, webhooks, and Bulk REST APIs for warehouse syncing. For security, I enforce role-based access, SSO, and separate regional assets using Workspaces and Person Partitions to maintain governance.

### Comment 2

I have used the setup and administration features to manage users, roles, and access permissions. The import/export process is straightforward, especially for managing lead data and lists. Proper access management also helps ensure that users only have access to the features and data relevant to their roles.
