# How have you ensured that your team still feels connected during this new reality?

Without seeing each other every day, I'm worried my team will lose some of our camaraderie that makes the work so worthwhile. What ways have you found to combat this?

I would highly suggest that when you web conference, have all team members turn on their cameras so they're not faceless voices. Also, encourage ad-hoc web cam meetings for the teams to just talk about what they're doing and how they're feeling. People are used to these face-to-face conversations so this might help bring a little of the "human" aspect to your work day.

I think the key is to keep it simple and genuine. If you’ve had a practice of daily team huddles in person, simply convert that in to online sessions for the same duration. Weekly team meetings- preferably video calls. These are good times with huge opportunities to connect with your team members at a more personal level. A few mins in every meeting to get to know them better on video.. may be they show you a book they’ve been reading, or their pet, or their children or a painting may be. But simple things like this will go a long way in keeping them engaged. Key being you should be genuinely interested in knowing these details. :)

Most of the people we hire on contract bases and we prefer that you work remotely sense the start, and with this kind method although it has and can be abused, most of the time "going to work" for artist to far reaching places possibly having to relocate is very stressful and and so that can translate to less productivity especially in this new system of "epidemic" we are living in it. Staying at home can be easier to get to work and put longer efforts in the skills you love as going to work can be a simple as siting down at your computer at home.

We have gaming sessions online to relieve the stress of it all. Obviously, not every office is filled with gamers, but this is how we handle it!

We're only 3, but we made a pact to turn off CNN, Bloomberg, etc. until business is done--it's too easy to get drawn off course with the pandemonium. I think it's better in terms of staying happy, also, to limit a steady diet of that stuff.

Our team of 16 has daily good morning video meetings plus weekly departmental meetings via video. Video is critical to bring remote workers closer. It is also important that everyone keeps to their normal work schedule, get up and dressed in professional attire and be at your work at your normal start time. Keep you area clear from clutter and distraction as much as possible as recreating a 'work environment' is real important. We have a VPN to the office so that all our shared files and applications are accessible as well as VoIP soft phones so our normal work extensions will work. Keeping things as familiar as possible and free from frustration will see you working from home in the most productive way possible.

Our team of 12 has implemented weekly video conferencing meetings to check-in. We now regularly have video or phone conference calls with our partners, fellow team members, and key stakeholders to make sure we keep connections tight. We also have a team "Good Morning" email that a member of our team started. She would normally greet all of us every morning with Good Morning when we were in an office so it really brings in a sense of normalcy. On an organizational level, we have regular emails from our CEO and he is hosting a Zoom video conference and encouraging all 150 of the employees to get on with video or phone with a message, and Q&A.

We ahve created mass text capability/connectivity with every employee in our company and the owner is blasting a company-wide encouragement message with sanitation and safety reminders and miscellaneous updates at least weekly; managers are sending other updates along the way. We've goten good feedback from our employees, thanking us for what we're doing and for our text-driven efforts.
