# How has GeoPlugin’s fast IP geolocation helped you spot fraud or restricted-region traffic?

From a security team perspective, GeoPlugin stands out for database stability and fast API response time, with no added overhead or complex third party libraries. It’s been useful for verifying geolocation and ISP details on suspicious IPs to help detect spam and fraud traffic from restricted regions, and support GDPR/CCPA compliance. The only downside mentioned is an old-fashioned website and client panel design. How are you using GeoPlugin for fraud prevention or compliance, and do you care about dashboard modernization?
