For me, it is perfect. I wanted something I could purchase in a one-time fee and own the software.  I had been using Adobe products and needed something to open and manipulate those files. Affinity has far exceeded my expectations, and Publisher is no different. If you are using all of the Affinity products, its integration is flawless and makes it easier for me to create large documents with dashboards or complex graphics I need to represent. 

Anyway, it is easy to use, familiar enough to get into right away, and well-maintained and supported. So I love it!
