# How does this software handle email for a holiday campaign?

Basically the title. I'm curious how this web app can automate campaigns at specific times.

All you have to do is use the "Create Center on a date" or Center on a date property" contact-based workflows to center your workflow actions on a calendar date or contact date property. This allows you to schedule and execute workflow actions relative to a specific date.

You can also select the "Recur annually" checkbox. This will allow the workflow to re-enroll contacts on the selected date each year.

Hi, I'm Marshall, one of the market research analysts at G2.  Thanks for your question! Holiday-based marketing campaigns are a common concern, and I'm happy to answer. I'm going to cheat and use HubSpot's own directions for this. It recommends using the Center on a Date workflow for holiday campaigns.


"In Center on a date workflows, all workflow actions are centered on a fixed calendar date. Similar to Start from scratch workflow, contacts are enrolled in the workflow when they meet the enrollment triggers, or are manually enrolled into the workflow. However, contacts will remain in the workflow until the first action is scheduled to execute, relative to the fixed calendar date. Delays added anywhere else in the workflow are relative to the fixed calendar date, not to the previous action.


Unlike Center on a date property workflows, all contacts in a Center on a date workflow will execute workflow actions at the same date and time. Some examples of Center on a date workflows are:

Sending holiday emails to your contacts.
Sending reminder emails to contacts who registered for an upcoming webinar."

HubSpot also has more explicit directions for creating these types of workflows. I hope this helps!
