# How does Kisi Visitor Management compare to Envoy?

We're already using Envoy for visitor management, but we also need modern access control. We're trying to understand whether Kisi is a better standalone option or if the two platforms are designed to work together.

Kisi and Envoy both support visitor management, but they're designed with different priorities in mind.
Envoy is primarily focused on workplace and visitor experiences, offering features like desk and room booking, visitor registration, delivery management, and customizable lobby check-in flows.
Kisi combines visitor management with cloud-based access control, making it easy to manage visitors and building security from a single platform. Visitors can receive temporary access through secure access links, QR codes, guest cards, or printed badges, while administrators can automatically control which doors visitors can access and when their credentials expire. Organizations that want a dedicated self-service check-in experience can also use Kisi Kiosk Pro.
If your priority is creating a branded front desk experience with workplace management features, Envoy may be the better fit. If you're looking for visitor management that's tightly integrated with cloud-based access control, automated door permissions, and physical security, Kisi provides a unified solution. For organizations that want both, the native Envoy integration brings together the strengths of each platform.
