# How does Fliplet compare to other app development platforms?

The majority of app development platforms are aimed at developers. They're great at simplifying the development process. However, Fliplet is designed for business that want multiple apps (for different teams, functions and clients). In this case developer teams typically struggle to keep up with the maintenance, updates and fixes all the apps required. Hiring additional development resources is expensive. Often much of the work is wasted re-inventing the wheel (the majority of app features are not unique ie, device compatibility, security, data management, iOS/Android updates shouldn't be created from scratch for every app). Fliplet takes away the pain of creating and maintaining  common app features  allowing IT teams to oversea multiple apps and for business teams to make adjustments to apps when they want them.
