I use automate in Microsoft for my document and records management processes. This is particularly useful and significantly reduces time, effort and unnecessary paperwork. Main processes that I have automated include:
1. Request for change or the creation of a new document (policy, procedure, form)
2. Authorization of form requesting the change
3. Selection of peer review team
4. Assignment of documents and timelines
5. Determine frequency for reminder notification
6. Document review
7. Document approval 
8. Notification to staff of new approved process
