# How do you track informal meetings or Team lunches

If you are trying to account for 8 hours of work done in a day using JIRA only, What do you do to track informal meetings, helping other team mates, Team activities, Fire Drills ? Do you just give 80% efficiency and track only 6.5 hours or so and not the whole 8 hours?

Hey Sunil,

You can create a workflow in Jira from the settings. From there all you'll need to do is name the workflow and assign each portion of the workflow to those involved. Each involved party will receive emails notifications as the events are marked as "done" through the workflow. I'd suggest creating a service email address that all involved parties can access at anytime to avoid "Jira Spam" In terms of the hours spent, you can pull reports once the workflow is complete to track the time spent from start to finish. I'd suggest setting up automation for jira as this will improve your workflow dramatically!
