# How do you keep DraftSight’s 2D workflow smooth when switching to SOLIDWORKS?

DraftSight feels simple and familiar for 2D work, and it’s easy to create, edit, and review DWG drawings without building a full 3D model. The main challenge is finding some advanced tools and settings, plus making the handoff between DraftSight and SOLIDWORKS smoother on projects that mix 2D drawings and 3D models.
