# How do you handle tricky variables in ActiveCampaign’s email editor for automations?

ActiveCampaign’s automations have been a big time-saver for me since they run in the background once everything is set up, and I can schedule emails and newsletters in advance. The main challenge has been the email editor, which can feel tricky when working with variables inside automations, even though it’s usually fixable.
