# How do you handle traceability in Asana when rules can’t be applied to subtasks?

Asana helps me stay in control with better traceability across internal processes, including tracking task status, assigning owners, and setting clear deadlines. It keeps work on my radar and supports team performance by making roles clear within each workflow. One gap for me is that rules can’t be assigned to subtasks, which limits process automation. How are others working around this to keep workflows automated and avoid downtime?
