# How do you handle department-level scheduling in Humanity Schedule across multiple locations?

In Humanity Schedule by TCP, it’s been really helpful to see who’s out on vacation or leave, how long they’ll be away, and when they’re returning, especially when filling positions and avoiding conflicts. We also like that employees can view only what they need instead of overwhelming spreadsheets. The biggest challenge is not being able to separate shifts by department within each physical location, which makes assigning managers and scheduling within departments inconvenient even with a workaround. How are others organizing departments and permissions when scheduling across multiple locations?
