# How do you handle AWS Cloud9 setup, permissions, and performance vs a local IDE?

I like that AWS Cloud9 lets me code in the browser with no heavy local setup, plus the AWS integrations make testing and deployment convenient. Real-time collaboration and built-in terminal access also help keep work in one place. The main challenges for me are confusing initial setup (especially AWS permissions/environments), slower performance when internet is unstable, and fewer advanced customization options than desktop IDEs. What tips or best practices have helped you get Cloud9 running smoothly?
