# How do you get more parents to participate in your school auction?

Participation is everything. A silent auction with 40% of attendees bidding outperforms one with 80% attendance and low engagement every time.

A few things that move the needle: mobile bidding so guests don't have to find a bid sheet, early item previews sent via email, and a live leaderboard that creates friendly competition.

What has worked at your school to drive more bids and donations?

Three things we've seen move the needle consistently: mobile bidding so there's no hunting for bid sheets, item preview emails sent a few days before the event, and outbid notifications that pull guests back into the auction throughout the night. HelloFund includes all of these. Engagement goes up when bidding is frictionless.
