# How do you garner user engagement?

There are multiple ways to garner user engagement, the one we opted for was by recruiting champions from each of the departments and then getting them trained on how to build a community. Recruiting senior leadership to be first to start commenting and using,  We actively encouraged cross-community interactions, specialist guilds for learning, communities of people with similar interests and before we know it - there were multitudes of communities
