# How do you balance Figma Community speed with performance issues on large, complex files?

The Figma Community makes it easy to prototype fast by reusing open-source design systems, UI kits, wireframes, and icons instead of rebuilding common elements. At the same time, large files with heavy component libraries and complex artboards can lag, spike browser memory, and even crash during multi-user collaboration. Dev Mode, auto-layout, and shared libraries help reduce design to engineering friction by giving developers exact layout and token details as a single source of truth. How are you keeping big Figma files performant while still taking advantage of Community assets and shared libraries?
