# How do you balance Canva’s free templates vs paid features for professional designs?

I like Canva’s simple interface and the wide range of templates for presentations, CVs, posters, and more, plus the AI tools that speed up designing. It’s helped me create a professional CV without design skills and saved a lot of time, but some of the best templates and features are locked behind the paid version. I also notice the site can feel slow when working on larger designs. How do you decide when the free version is enough, and what helps you avoid slowdowns on bigger projects?

I use the free templates for quick designs and switch to the paid features when I need more flexibility or premium assets for polished, professional work.
