It depends on what data you have. I generally use it for my PhD work. Like A-Z data plotting is done by only Origin. You can plot graphs, colourimetry diagrams, fitting of data and many more using Origin. We can directly import single or multiple ASCII files (text/raw data) and directly plot it into our desirable form.
