# How do I stop attachments in proposals from automatically being sent to my judge's downloads file?

For a good number of my judges, they could not automatically click and open attachments and very often the case was that rather than opening, the document was sent automatically to their computer's downloads folder. That was the most common problem encountered by my judges.

Hi Jeannette,
Diya from Award Force here. What you have described if not unusual! Some file formats such as PDFs, video/audio, ZIP, EPS and more cannot be opened in browsers and are automatically downloaded to the user's computer. Other file formats such as image files will open straight away. Then some like Word Doc or Excel will depend on the browser your judge is using and if it supports those files. You could say, file behaviour is at the browser's mercy!

If you could send us more information on what type of files your judges had issues with, we will happy to troubleshoot with you. Just shoot us an email on support@awardforce.com and we'll get on it right away :)
