# How do I recover any portfolio that went lost

When I discovered Extension, I had a period to try out the Premium version of the software. However, after the trial period, I did not opt to upgrade and therefore, I lost all existing portfolio. Even after I had upgraded and activated the period account, I have been unable to recover these lost portfolios. Is it possible to recover them?

Hi Pierre, 

If you have an archived/deleted folio, you can switch your dashboard view from "active folios" to "deleted folios" at the top right of the page and recover an archived folio. Your retention history, i.e. how long your folios are archived, depends on what plan you're on. The free plan has a 14-day revision history meaning that archived folios are permanently deleted from  the system after remaining in the trash for 14 days.
