# How do I link a telephone number in a template? (I want to use it as a button)

You cannot directly link a button to your phone number. A suitable workaround involves going to the source code section (looks like "<>" on the edit menu in the campaign builder.  

Find where you want to insert the phone number and enter 
<a href="tel:1-847-555-5555">1-847-555-5555</a>  where the number is the one you want to call.  

You can do something similar if you create a button outside of MailChimp and import it as an image. Then you can link it to what you want by inserting the appropriate code.

If you have the phone field imported as a part of the database, you insert that field where you want it to be. If it is a particular salesperson, add the fields to the spreadsheet and load it.

Hi! You can add a phone number the same way you'd add a URL. Instead of a web address, just type the phone number directly into the link field or text block.
