# How do I let people know something new has been uploaded?

When I add files, I wonder if it was possible to make it known that something was recently added.

You can use a Microsoft Flow designed to send an email to specific people when a new document is added. 

Also you can use flow to add the file to sharepoint site, etc etc etc.

If notifications isn't turned on, you can do a share within the document and send it to the parties invovled.  From there you have the option to of read only or edit as well.

User must activate the notifications on the web portal of the folder.

If the users you have have notifications turned on, they should get notification when new uploads are made.  We use a combination of Office365 apps.  Team's is a good tool to track shared/team activity as well.  Also keep in mind that too many notifications tend to be ignored.   Hope this helps.
