# How do I get alerts by date and time?

I assign tasks and reminders to myself, sometimes I set them for a specific day and TIME. However I do not receive notifications for these (only in the daily email I receive from Asana). I'd like to get notifications, just like when someone else assigns a task to me.

Question for you? Do you have the Asana App downloaded to your desktop or are you just using Asana via the web. I did not recieve timed out notifications until I had the app installed. Once it was installed I click on my name circle on the top left of the sceen and open settings, then I click the notifications tab and those are all the notification settings that they allow to my knowledge, it has options for e-mail, desktop, and project alerts
