# How do I disable Microsoft EOP so that all email filtering is performed by Avanan alone?

How do we disable or bypass EOP and rely on the Avanan filters alone.

What issue are you having that you need to do this? 

It&#39;s not possible to disable EOP by design unless you route mail through a different service using MX records.

I suppose worst case you could use a mail-flow rule to set the SCL to -1 for all inbound messages; but I strongly advise against this approach.
